Skipbridge Farm is situated in the heart of the North Yorkshire. A small and passionate family run business established in 2011. After hosting the most wonderful country wedding for their eldest daughter Katie to, now husband, Thomas they were approached to hire their glamping field and after a little thought they decided that it would be a shame not to offer the fantastic surroundings for others to enjoy. They decided to take the plunge and Skipbridge Country Weddings was born.
Run by brother and sister duo, Bronte & Tom. (We are luckily enough to have Bronte as our own events manager at Garden Weddings Tipi Hire!) Together, with their many years experience in events and hospitality, there really is no ask too big or small.
Skipbridge Country Weddings is situated in-between Harrogate and York, in the middle of the beautiful North Yorkshire Countryside. The Skipbridge Country Weddings small holding is home to many weird and wonderful creatures; Donkeys, Ponies, Goats and Pigs, Alpacas, Llamas and of course our lovely family of Peacocks!
At Skipbridge Country Weddings you can legally get married on site in their registered Willow Bower. With all the guests sat on hay bales, benches or chairs it is the perfect way to tie the knot in the great outdoors!
After the wedding ceremony, enjoy garden games and some Prosecco! Come and meet all of the Skipbridge Farm animals and explore the farm. You never know what you will come across. With it’s one of a kind quirky features. The Hobbit Hole, Whisky Shack and even a boat! Skipbridge Country Weddings is a one of a kind venue, the bookings speak for themselves. Currently booked 2 years in advance, their 2023 diary will be opening in May 2021.
Enter the beautiful Tipis (Supplied by Garden Weddings Tipi Hire) for your wedding breakfast and get the tissues ready for the speeches. The standard Tipi set up at Skipbridge Country Weddings is 2 Giant Katas + 1 Kub Tipi. This set up can easily accommodate up to 100 guests throughout the day. If you are wanting to invite more people and have a much larger party, this is no problem! Garden Weddings work extremely closely with Skipbridge and can hire you another Tipi enabling you to have up to 150 seated day guests!
As the night draws in and your evening guests start to arrive the Tipi and venue really do come to life! At 9pm the Whisky shack is opened. Sit round a roaring fire pit, drinking whisky and listening to one of our recommended live acoustic guitarists. Have your first dance outside around the custom made Skipbridge Fire Ball. Toast Marshmallows around the fire pit inside the Tipis. Or simply, get on the dance floor and dance the night away!
When you are ready for bed, head over to some of the most unique accommodation in Yorkshire. The bridal Suite ‘Wally’s Wagon’ is a converted railway good wagon with a hot tub in your own private garden. Why not choose to stay in the Shepherds hut, with a wood fired hot tub and a log burning fire inside. Skipbridge Country Weddings can sleep up to 55 guests, with a range of cosy cottages, unique accommodation and our glamping field. They have the perfect option for each guest.
The icing on the cake! Unlike many other Yorkshire Tipi wedding venues, Skipbridge allows your guests to join you for a hungover breakfast back in the Tipis. While you and your guests are catching the zzzz’s. The Skipbridge team are working tirelessly to turn last nights party into a todays breakfast spot. Join your guests back in the Tipi for a full English fry up and chat about the night before antics. It wouldn’t surprise us if you guests say that it is the best wedding that they have ever been to!
